Christopher P. Fuller, Managing Partner
Mr. Fuller has over 25 years of private equity and merchant banking experience. Prior to co-founding Verus and its predecessor, he spent 11 years sourcing, executing and managing private equity investments at Harvest Partners, First Atlantic Capital and BT Capital Partners. During this period, he was responsible for eight platform company investments with an aggregate invested equity value of $200 million and aggregate transaction value of over $4 billion. Mr. Fuller has served on the Board of Directors of six of his past portfolio companies and is a current board member of all Verus portfolio companies.
Mr. Fuller started his career in 1989 at Bankers Trust Company and Salomon Brothers, where he focused on structured products, raising capital for leveraged credits and M&A advisory work. He has an AB degree in Engineering Science from Dartmouth College and both a BE in Electrical Engineering and an ME in Engineering Management from the Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth College.
Erik S. Miller, Partner
Mr. Miller has nearly 20 years of investment experience, including nine years of direct private equity experience. Prior to co-founding Verus, Mr. Miller was a Principal at Carthage Capital Group, a minority-owned private equity firm focused on investing in small middle-market companies. While at Carthage, Erik initiated and led private equity investments and executed all of the firm’s transactions. Prior to Carthage, Mr. Miller was an Associate at Chase Securities High Yield Corporate Finance Group where he worked with a number of private equity sponsors to raise over $2 billion in high yield transactions. Erik served as an analyst at Goldman, Sachs & Co. where he provided investment banking services to a wide range of corporate clients. Mr. Miller earned his BBA in Finance from Howard University.
Richard Moreau, Partner
Mr. Moreau has over 13 years of investment experience and three years of operational experience. Prior to joining Verus, he served as President of a national provider of wireless monitoring and alarm communication services and equipment, where he managed the strategic, operational and financial activities and led the company’s expansion into new products and markets. Prior to his operational role, Rich was a Principal at Harvest Partners, a middle market private equity firm. During his 10 years at Harvest Partners, he had responsibility for several portfolio company investments and worked closely with management teams to increase shareholder value. Mr. Moreau has experience across a broad range of industries, including consumer, health and wellness, juvenile products, manufacturing and healthcare. Prior to Harvest, Mr. Moreau worked at First Dominion Capital, a merchant bank specializing in middle-market buyouts. Prior to First Dominion Capital, Rich worked at Bankers Trust Company (now Deutsche Bank), where he specialized in leveraged finance and M&A, primarily in the industrial sector. Rich has served on numerous Boards of Directors of past portfolio companies. Mr. Moreau has a BA from Wesleyan University, where he double majored in Economics and Russian and East European Studies.
Christopher Snyder, Vice President
Mr. Snyder has over 10 years of direct private equity and investment banking experience. Prior to joining Verus, Mr. Snyder sourced, executed and managed buyout and growth equity investments in the business services and technology-enabled services sectors at Cowen Capital Partners (formerly SG Capital Partners) and ABS Capital Partners. Prior to that, Chris worked in the Corporate Finance & Investment Banking Division of Legg Mason Wood Walker where he executed merger & acquisition, capital raising and advisory mandates for private equity sponsors and corporate clients. Mr. Snyder began his career at American Capital Strategies where he performed due diligence on investments and helped manage a portfolio of debt and equity investments in middle market companies.
Mr. Snyder has an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BS in Finance and a BS in Accounting from the University of Maryland, where he was a UM Scholar. Chris is an active alumnus at Columbia Business School and participates in the school’s Private Equity Program as a mentor to current students and as a resource to the Private Equity Program. In addition, Mr. Snyder serves on the board of Futures and Options, a non-profit organization providing career development and paid internship programs for underserved New York City youth.
